I built the Wendell Scott #34 replica for my father-in-law as a Christmas gift. Basically the chassis is a Morrissey Sports Car Frame built to fit a 1/25 scale 1970 Ford Torino Model kit. The chassis was built to have 1/16" track clearance with 7/8" rear tires and 3/4" front tires. The wheelbase is 4 9/16".

The car was tested on the Slot Car Emporium's King and even though down on power ran very well. Since the car most likely will not be run, after testing the car I decided to change the tires to 1" rear and 7/8" front to give the car a more realistic look.

To do this successfully, I had to raise the front axle tube to get the car to sit properly with larger tires for display.
